Amateur Radio Week Proclaimed

Walnut Ridge Mayor
Michelle Rogers has declared the week of February 12th
through the 16th 2007 as Amateur radio week.
On February 8th
the Mayor made the Proclamation presentation to the
Lawrence County Amateur Radio Club’s
President Carl Richardson.
The city of
Walnut Ridge has more then 20
Amateur Radio operators who provide emergency radio communications as
a public service.
This year’s
Lawrence County Amateur Radio
Club’s Winter-fest will be held on February 17th at the
Walnut Ridge Fire departments fireman’s hall.
