Lawrence County Amateur Radio Club Meeting
Minutes
8-31-2009
The meeting was called to order.
There were 15 in attendance.
The past secretary read the minutes from last month
W5CWD made motion to accept minutes as read.
Seconded by K5BMD. Membership dues for
4 members were turned in.
The treasurer reports a balance of $1985.83 not
counting the dues mentioned above. W5CWD made
a motion for the club to participate in the Iron Mountain Festival on Oct. 24th.
Motion was seconded by K5VXH. Motion passed.
There was a visitor at the meeting. Hometown of
Sikeston, Mo.
ARRL affiliation application and request for ARRL
insurance quote has yet to be completed. W5WEC
reminded the members about the Sept. 12th picnic at Lake Charles. Bring
your own food. In case of rain, we will meet at the club room.
Also, for an FYI, vanity call costs are up to $13.40 per year and test fees are
up to $15. KE5VXJ made a motion to purchase a
backup controller. Motion was seconded by W5MDP. Motion
passed.
W5CWD made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by
