Mission Statement
The mission of the Lawrence County Amateur Radio Club , Inc. is to provide radio communications with honor and integrity while honoring the amateur radio code of ethics. We strive to provide technical support services to others interested in amateur radio communications And to provide radio communications as needed during local and state emergency situations.

Monthly Business Meeting September 9, 2024
President Glendal Floyd called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM with eleven members present. He reported the club currently has $3,490.45 in our bank account. He then reviewed the items discussed at the last business meeting. Glendal honored our recent Silent Key, Joe Floyd K5BMD, and recounted his accomplishments. Glendal reported damage to the Imboden tower, possibly from a lightning strike. He and Ray Maynard replaced an external camera and hard drive. The repeater is still working well. The club was reminded Don Broadway was maintaining the yard for the club at a price of $100. We next discussed the club’s upcoming POTA exercise at Lake Charles on Saturday, September 14. Members will begin setting up radio equipment, antennas, and grills at 1000. Beginning at approximately 1:00 PM we will begin transmitting. Members will bring their own food to cook. Glendal announced Route 66 is ongoing through September 15. Jussi Eloranta announced America Samoa is ongoing. Jared Bassham have a report on the new LETA barracks, which is planned to have a LCARC radio room on the top floor. Members were also invited to a 9/11 ceremony at LETA on September 11 at 8:00 AM. Danny made the motion to adjourn. Second by Don. The meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM.
